Oxted Parish Council provide an access point for more than 10,500 residents offering community information. Improving communication and involving residents in local issues enables the Council to work more closely with the residents of Oxted and Hurst Green.
The Parish Councillors are very proud of Oxted’s heritage with its open spaces, community spirit, its excellent range of town centre and countryside housing, and its local facilities.
Oxted offers a comprehensive range of shopping facilities and restaurants together with a leisure centre and swimming pool. Master Park, along with the playing fields at Mill Lane and Bushey Croft provide sporting spaces for football, cricket, tennis and childrens playgrounds.
The usual amenities such as a library, health centre and community buildings are available along with a local cinema, the Barn Theatre and an excellent selection of schools. It has a mainline station with a fast service to London and good transport links to the rest of the country.
The Parish Councillors strive to protect this heritage and environment and at the same time look to the future needs of the wider community especially the aspirations of young families that are the next generation.
